For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

granulated sugar

teaspoon
cinnamon

melted butter
Instructions
In a small saucepan, bring apple cider to a boil and reduce to about 1/2 cup. Let cool.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla extract, egg, and cooled reduced apple cider.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan.
For the coating, mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush each donut with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cloves or allspice to the batter!
