  • 4 large croissants halved lengthwise
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened

Optional Toppings

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • powdered sugar for dusting, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Spread a generous amount of butter on the cut sides of each croissant half.
  • If using, drizzle a little honey or maple syrup over the butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Place the croissant halves, buttered side down, onto the heated skillet.
  • Toast for 2-3 minutes, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt for an extra flavor boost.
  • Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
