Dubai Chocolate Bar Recipe

The Dubai chocolate bar is a luxurious Middle Eastern dessert that combines crispy kataifi, creamy pistachio butter, and rich chocolate for a gourmet treat.

Ingredients
  

For the Kataifi Base:

  • 2 cups kataifi pastry shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee melted
  • For the Pistachio Filling:
  • 1 cup pistachio butter
  • 2 tbsp tahini

For the Chocolate Coating:

  • 2 cups milk or dark chocolate chopped
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate optional, for decoration

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Put kataifi dough on a baking sheet and sprinkle it with ghee or melted butter.
  • Bake for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  • Let it cool down.
  • In a bowl, mix pistachio butter and tahini until smooth.
  • Add the toasted kataifi and mix it in until it's well combined.
  • Place the mixture on a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • Put it in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes to make it hard.
  • Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  • Melt over a double pot or in 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring each time.
  • Take the cold filling out of the fridge and cut it into bars.
  • Dip each bar into the melted chocolate to ensure it is completely covered.
  • Put on a tray lined with parchment paper in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Put the bars in the fridge while you melt the white chocolate.
  • Let it set before serving.

Notes

For a nut-free version, replace pistachio butter with sunflower seed butter.
Use dairy-free chocolate and coconut oil instead of butter for a vegan option.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the fridge for 2 weeks.
