Garlic Butter Steak and Pasta

Ingredients
  

For the Steak

  • 1 lb steak sirloin, ribeye, or filet, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce optional for extra flavor

For the Pasta

  • 12 oz pasta penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional for heat
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak pieces and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to coat the steak in garlic butter and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the drained pasta and reserved pasta water. Toss to coat.
  • Mix in grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  • Return the steak to the skillet and toss with the pasta. Let everything warm together for 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra creamy version, add a splash of heavy cream or more Parmesan. Adjust seasonings to taste!
