Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup 1 can
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional

For the Topping

  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers crushed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth.
  • Fold in the shredded chicken until evenly coated with the creamy mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Remove from oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese to the topping before baking. Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables!
