Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Oven

Ingredients

Peach Base

  • 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup 15 oz each, or 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract optional for extra flavor

Topping

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix 15.25 oz
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • If using canned peaches, drain one can and keep the syrup from the other. If using fresh peaches, mix them with ¼ cup sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Spread the peaches evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle cinnamon over the peaches, then drizzle with vanilla extract.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches. Do not stir.
  • Pour melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use brown sugar instead of white sugar when using fresh peaches. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect finishing touch!
